Eight things the Tuesday session has to price

For session: Tue Oct 27, 2026
The board, all 22 narratives: 4 HOT, 15 WARM, 3 QUIET
Lead story: Dollar displacement

The Ibovespa closed at 176,608 on Monday from 205,083 on Friday, after B3's first trading halt since March 2020, and the Treasury bought back $3bn of local bonds as the real slid. Dollar displacement, fifteenth on attention, saw its ETFs close flat in price, twentieth of 22, since Brazil is a small weight inside broad ex-US ETFs. The repricing stays a Brazil event unless selling spreads to other emerging markets, which is where the wider ex-US case would start to give.

Security chiefs from Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan met Iranian officials in Tehran on Monday and agreed to keep talking, a day after Qatari mediators arrived, and WTI fell to about $101 a barrel and Brent to about $114.50. Geopolitical supply, ninth on attention, still had ETFs that edged up in price, mid-table among 22 narratives. Talks lower the odds of a US strike without returning a barrel through Hormuz, so the discount lasts only while Houthi fire on Saudi pipelines ends in interceptions.

Anthropic's prospectus, filed Monday for a Nasdaq listing under ANT, shows revenue of $16.3bn for the first half against $1.2bn a year earlier and a net loss of $80.7bn, largely fair-value charges on convertible notes. The productivity handoff, fifth on attention, had ETFs that gained solidly in price on the day, also fifth of 22. No share count or price range is set yet, so the size of the raise against the compute it has to pay for is the figure the filing still withholds.

Meta launched public offerings of about $35bn in common and convertible preferred stock on Monday and set up an at-the-market program of up to $60bn once new non-voting shares trade, against about $825bn of spending commitments. The AI compute core, joint sixth on attention, had ETFs that rose strongly in price, third of 22, with the offering already public. Funding with equity rather than bonds puts the cost of the buildout on shareholders through dilution and leaves lenders' exposure where it was.

Verizon earned an adjusted $1.31 a share before Monday's open against $1.27 recorded beforehand, on revenue of $34.3bn, added 406,000 postpaid phones and raised full-year adjusted earnings guidance to $5.04 to $5.06. The compute core's ETFs closed sharply higher in price, but by capital its weight sits in two large technology ETFs, so carriers reach it only thinly. Phone additions won with promotions surface in margins a quarter later, so fourth-quarter service revenue is where the cost of that share shows.

EQT agreed on Monday to combine with Range Resources at 0.987 of its shares for each Range share, forming a gas producer with a pro forma enterprise value above $50bn, due to close in early 2027. By capital one large sector ETF carries about a third of geopolitical supply, whose ETFs edged up in price on the day. Scale in Appalachian gas is a wager on power demand from data centers, and pipeline capacity out of the basin is the limit the merger leaves untouched.

Nucor earned $5.80 a share after Monday's close against $5.71 recorded beforehand, on net sales of $11.25bn, and said fourth-quarter earnings should be in line with or modestly above the third. The reshoring trade sits in the quiet band on attention and its ETFs firmed slightly in price, eleventh of 22, before the report. A domestic steelmaker holding margins behind tariffs is the reshoring case in one income statement, and any steel deal with Canada would thin that protection.

The Treasury sold $69bn of two-year notes on Monday at a high yield 0.3 basis points above where they traded beforehand, two days before the Fed's decision. The rate regime, level with the AI compute core joint sixth on attention, had ETFs that were barely changed in price, nineteenth of 22. Front-end buyers absorbing size with a December hike priced in accept the path futures imply, and a wider miss at the next note sale would show that acceptance thinning.
